Cyber security spend not a priority for food businesses

Firms in food and hospitality spent the least on cyber security in 2018-19, at an average of just £1,080, according to Specops Software. Despite the low sum, it is an increase of 20% from the previous year when businesses were spending £900.

The company reports that cyber-attacks and breaches are becoming more frequent and complex and if precautions are not taken businesses face leaving their website and digital communication platforms exposed.
