Comedian and presenter Jason Manford is to host the 2023 National Fish and Chip Awards.
Known for his award-winning comedy and entertainment, Jason will present 10 awards to fish and chip professionals from around the UK for categories including Best Newcomer and Takeaway of the Year.
The National Fish and Chip Awards has undergone a relaunch since Seafish last ran the event in 2020. Following a break due to Covid, the awards have been taken over by The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), with the ceremony taking place on 28th February 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London.
The National Fish & Chip Awards celebrate the best of fish and chips in Britain, honouring not just takeaways and restaurants but suppliers too.
Andrew Crook, President at the NFFF, said: “Having Jason Manford as our presenter for the National Fish and Chip Awards is the best news we could have hoped for! His comedic and uplifting personality will be a great addition to the awards luncheon and I’m sure much loved by our guests. Jason is a firm family favourite, just like fish and chips.
