Kerbisher & Malt has put its Shepherds Bush Road shop in Hammersmith, London, on the market, marking an end of the brand on the high street.
Owners Saul Reuben and brother-in-law Nick Crossley first launched in Hammersmith in 2011 before going on to open five further sites, all of which have since closed.
The takeaway and restaurant was once described by The Financial Times as “the perfect fish and chip shop”.
Kerbisher & Malt continues to operate at Victoria Market Halls, a three-storey food hall outside London’s busy Victoria train station, where it opened in 2018.
Kerbisher and Malt takes its name from an old boat owned by Nick’s grandfather, who was a herring fisherman in Norfolk, and malt vinegar. It is known for its focus on sustainable fish and fresh food, prepared daily.
