Range manufacturer KFE has added an additional trainer to its KFE on a Mission line-up, Tim Barnes of award-winning chippy Krispies in Exmouth.
Shops in the south west, including South Wales, Somerset and Dorset, can book Tim to visit their shop for half a day’s one-to-one training session next week between 25th-27th March 2019 in exchange for a donation to The Fishermen’s Mission.
Tim is joined by nine further stars of the industry, including Fred Capel, Gordon Hillan and Mark Petrou, who will all be touring the country at the same time as part of KFE on a Mission, providing training sessions in fish and chip shops. All friers are National Fish & Chip Awards winners and will openly share their winning knowledge and experience.
A few sessions are still available to book, including half a day with Quayside’s Stuart Fusco, Burton Road’s Lesley Graves and Des Anastasiou, The Bay’s Calum Richardson and Kingfisher’s Craig Maw and Nikki Mutton.
KFE's Tanya Henderson, comments: “We’re really looking forward to building on the success of last year’s event where we raised over £13,000 for The Fishermen’s Mission. Our trainers have got years of industry experience and are keen to get into shops and share their knowledge, offer help where it’s needed or even just rumble some chips! It’s a great opportunity for shops to get some in-house training from the best the industry has to offer, all while raising money for The Fishermen’s Mission.”
The three-day event will culminate in a charity dinner at award-winning shop The Scallop Shell in Bath where there will also be an auction with prizes including a tonne of batter, a Bold batter mixer and a Merlin Mobi filtration machine from Premier 1 Filtration worth over £1,700.
Tickets to the event are available at a cost of £60. And for those that can’t make it, the auction prizes are available to bid on via the KFE Facebook page.
