Litter-reducing box up for top packaging award

A new fish and chips box which helps reduce litter by easily folding flat has been shortlisted for a top packaging award.

The Hook and Fish Fold It, Bin It box, an innovation from Friars Pride and the Q Partnership, is a finalist in the Consumer Convenience category at the 2019 Packaging Awards.

The box has a unique design that allows it to fold flat after use in three quick and easy steps, thereby taking up less space in bins and helping to reduce overfilling - a particular problem along seafronts and in busy tourist locations.

The corrugated Fold It, Bin It box also helps with portion control, keeps food warm and protects it, whether used for deliveries, collection or eating on the go.

In line with the rest of the Hook and Fish packaging range, the Fold It, Bin It box has the same eye-catching colours and design.

The 2019 Packaging Awards take place on Thursday 7th November at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London, and celebrate the very best projects, businesses and individuals across the packaging supply chain.

The Hook and Fish Fold It, Bin It box is up against a resealable and fully recyclable tray for fresh produce, a kraft beer carrier and a 20cl slim drinks can.
