McDonald’s has ditched its Signature burger range after poor sales.
The £5.19 premium burgers which were launched in 2015, have not hit the spot with the fast food chain’s customers. As a result, it plans to remove costlier items from the menu and focus on “simpler and faster to prepare burgers”.
On a more positive note, in its third-quarter results, the chain reported an increase in its McDelivery home delivery service, which is now available in 950 restaurants and accounts for just over 10% of its business. To help meet this growing market, its first dark kitchen has opened in Hanworth, West London.
