Pizza Hut opens first restaurant in six years
Pizza Hut has opened its first restaurant in six years at a shopping complex in Leeds.
The £1million outlet at the newly extended White Rose Shopping Centre follows a significant refurbishment strategy, funded through a £60m investment which began when Rutland Partners acquired the business from US owner Yum! Brands in 2012.
The restaurant sits alongside several other big name brands including Five Guys, Wagamama and TGI Fridays and has created 50 jobs.
Speaking at the White Rose opening ceremony, COO Mike Spencer said: “Today’s opening marks a significant landmark in our business strategy which has, for the past five years, focused on the restructure of our existing portfolio of restaurants across the UK.”
