Rockfish opens retail fish market in Brixham

Seafood chain Rockfish has opened a retail fish market next to its restaurant and takeaway in Brixham, Devon.
The site was due to open at the end of November but has been fast-tracked following the closure of the Rockfish restaurants inline with England’s four-week lockdown.
The market is just metres away from Brixham harbour and fish market where Rockfish buys its fish direct at the morning's auction.
In addition to fresh fish landed by local boats, the new retail market will be selling species caught by Rockfish’s very own vessel, Rockfisher, which fishes along the southern coast seaboard. This can include hake, monkfish, Dover sole, John Dory, gurnard, turbot and scallops, all of which is prepared and filleted by the group’s own fishmongers.
Rockfish updates its website with the species it has landed each morning, with customers able to place orders online from 7am to 4pm and collect the same day from 9am-7pm.
Fish that isn’t sold each day is frozen and packaged for home delivery.
