The fish and chips are on Sarson's in summer giveaway

Malt vinegar brand Sarson’s is to reimburse hundreds of fish and chip dinners this summer as part of its #SarsonsFryday campaign which aims to help consumers and chippies amid the rising cost of living.
Every Friday until 2nd September 2022, Sarson’s will reimburse 100 fish & chip suppers up to a maximum value of £9.50.
It is hoped the campaign - endorsed by EastEnders’ chippy owner Ian Beale - increases footfall for chippies this summer amid concerns that levels could drop for some shops as households tighten budgets.
The six-week long activity will also look to renew the nation’s love for fish and chip shops and promote a sense of community spirit in supporting them.
To claim a free dinner, consumers must snap a photo of their order including a Sarson’s bottle or branded promotional signage in store and share it to Twitter or Instagram tagging @SarsonsUK and #SarsonsFryday. All valid entries must ensure they are following @SarsonsUK and keep hold of proof of purchase.
Bryan Carroll, deputy chief operating officer of Sarson’s, said: “The rising cost of living means we’re naturally all looking for ways to cut down our expenses and one of the first things that consumers cut back on is meals out and takeaways, leaving many of our favourite chippies at risk.
"As we enjoy the warmer weather, we wanted to help the nation support their local so we’re making everyone’s favourite day of the week even better with #SarsonsFryday. Whether it’s a staycation with friends, seaside visit with the whole family or a quiet Friday night in, we want to make sure Brits get their fish and chip fix – so this summer, it’s on us!”
Sarson’s is also continuing its support for chippies by reprising its full-size 20ltr sampling campaign, which includes a free POS kit and a new ‘Did you know?’ poster, full of fun facts to keep customers entertained while they wait.
