How long have you worked at Frydays?
I have worked at Frydays for four years and am now proud to be counter manager. I was there for the first shift when they opened, and I am always learning new things to go forward and win more awards in the future.
What are your responsibilities?
Taking orders, making sure our customers have a good experience from the minute they walk into our shop to the point of them finishing their meal. Till work, new staff training, cleaning down. Making sure everything is ready for the next shift.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I love working at Frydays, I have worked in other chippies before but have to say this is the best one I have ever worked at and my bosses are brilliant. I really couldn’t see myself working anywhere else. I know that’s a bit gushy but it’s from the heart.
What’s your least favourite part of the job?
That’s a difficult one, so I will have to say going home and having to wait for my next shift!
What is it that you like about working at Frydays?
I love working at Frydays because we are one big family and we have a great team and great customers who we can have a joke and banter with.
How do you feel about being nominated as an Unsung Hero?
I feel honoured to be nominated for doing a job that I love.
