Chris is an integral and well-loved member of the Frasers team. Whether it is going the extra mile to ensure every guest has a great time whilst with us or racing down to the shop to investigate a burglary alarm activation at 3am (it turned out to be a spider crawling across a sensor), he completes all tasks with the biggest of smiles on his face. He has a selection of ten fun hats which are super popular with our guests."


How long have you worked at Fraser's?

Since the shop opened in 2016. I arrived with plenty of kitchen experience but cooking fish and chips at this level meant lots of new learning.


What are your responsibilities?

I am responsible for all aspects of the kitchen. Ensuring that we serve the best quality food, that all areas are spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest standards and all food safety controls are properly adhered to. I also stand in as a duty manager on the floor when required.


What’s your favourite part of the job?

Without a doubt, seeing how happy our gluten free customers are after their meal, many of whom haven’t been able to have fish and chips for a long time or in some cases ever!



What's your least favourite part of the job?

I have to admit that I am not a fan of the 1 ½ hours of cleaning that’s required at the end of the day!


What is it you like about working at Fraser's?

I love working at Fraser's because we are more like a large, happy family than a group of people that work together. We all share the same goal, namely to give our customers the best most friendly service and of course top notch fish and chips, but we do it in a real fun manner, every shift there is always lots of laughter. There’s also a real can do attitude, we permanently are striving to find better ways to do things.


How do you feel about being nominated as an unsung hero?

I feel humbled that I should be nominated. I feel that I have just been doing what I was employed to do to the best of my abilities, so this has come as a massive surprise to me.
